A brighter future for survivors of domestic violence and their children is within reach.
Women’s Center & Shelter (WC&S) provides much more than Emergency Shelter. This past year, despite the many challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, WC&S reached more than 7,500 adult and child survivors with the following programs and services:
- Hotline Services (including text and chat)
- Education and Outreach
- Emergency Shelter
- Children’s Advocacy Program
- Legal Advocacy
- Resident and Non-Resident Support Groups
- Civil Law Project
- Medical Advocacy
This work would not be possible without the incredible strength and bravery of survivors and community support. Your generosity provides a path forward in the form of programs and services, information, and resources designed to offer safety and possibility. Perhaps the best way to describe the hope that is offered with each gift is directly from the voices of the courageous survivors served through WC&S:
“There is nothing better than feeling independent, strong, hopeful, and safe. I have strength and courage I didn’t even know I had. This experience has been life-changing.”
"I am comforted by the ability to reach out during this scary time to women I trust and feel safe with."
"I am very thankful for all of the staff, and everything they did to help my son and me along our journey here. We are forever grateful to everyone here. Thank you!"
